Conditions of Registration
In Udom v GMC [2010] Med LR 37. Hickinbottom J held that it would be an error of law for the Fitness to Practise Panel to impose conditions on registration which are in effect incompatible with registration. In that case, the impugned conditions did just that, confining as they did the doctor exclusively to clinical attachments, that is purely observational posts, for which in fact no medical registration was required in any event.
